Commercial Leasing Basics for Small Businesses
Modern leases are can be complicated. The lease is technically a conveyance of a leasehold estate to the tenant, but with a business and contract overlay. A simple occupancy agreement has become, in some instances, a complex economic and business relationship defined by the terms of the lease. This workshop will address the special vocabulary of commercial leases. It will help you understand your lease and give you practical ideas for negotiating your lease. The focus will be on office leases and on retail leases because they are the most common forms of commercial leases.
So You Want to Open a Restaurant...ARE YOU CRAZY?
